South Africa and Nigeria set to settle quarterfinal clash on Wednesday night

It is in record that both teams have had 14 previous meetings of which Nigeria have won seven compared to Bafana Bafana’s two,five matches ended in draws.
However,Bafana are unbeaten against Nigeria in their last five meetings in all competitions.
Bafana have battled it out with Nigeria twice before in the Africa Cup of Nations.
However, they are yet to register a win at the tournament when coming up against the Super Eagles, having lost in both 2000 (2-0) and 2004 (4-0). .

Ighalo reemains the man to watch out for as he is the dangerman
Ighalo,The former Watford striker, is the nation’s top scorer in the competition so far and has also been involved in four of Nigeria’s last five goals in Afcon. He has netted three goals and gave one assist.
A worry for the three-time Afcon champions will be their tendency to concede goals.

Regardless of the fact that they have netted five goals they have let in four goals in four games at Afcon 2019.

The two teams have the record of scoring t late as eighty percent of Nigeria’s goals have been scored in the final 30 minutes of their respective games, while Bafana have scored all their goals – against Namibia and Egypt – in that same period.

The Super Eagles are really soaring at Afcon as they boasts a good record at the continental showpiece.
They have secured seven wins of their last eight Afcon games with their only defeat coming in the group stage of this year’s competition where they lost to Madagascar 2-0.
