Mario Lemina seems to be in favour of moving to Manchester United against Arsenal move this summer, as held by reports . The Southampton midfielder is set for a summer switch after being left out of the Saints’ pre-season tour of Austria. Arsenal and United have made enquiries about Lemina’s availability and the 25-year-old is reportedly valued at £18million by Southampton. Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl is happy for Lemina to leave after he missed four months of the 2018/19 season to injury.
The Daily Star claim Lemina’s No.1 choice is United, despite Arsenal’s long-standing interest in him. Arsene Wenger rejected a move for Lemina in 2017, but the Gunners have kept tabs on the former Juventus star. Hassenhuttl wants Lemina’s future sorted by the time the squad returns to Southampton next week.
United have been granted the permission to speak to Lemina, but are unlikely to move for him until Paul Pogba’s future is resolved. Pogba wishes to leave United this summer, with Juventus and Real Madrid racing for the Frenchman. But United are reluctant to sell and reportedly want as much as £120m for Pogba.
