Multiple people were killed after a gunman opened fire in a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, on Sunday, officials said.
At least 20 people were shot to death inside a Texas church on Sunday, according to two county commissioners. Police say that a man walked into a First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs and opened fire before fleeing. The gunman is dead. Wilson County Commissioner Paul Phile told the Houston Chronicle more than 20 were killed; Commissioner Albert Gamez, Jr. told MSNBC he believed 24 were killed. Sutherland Springs is located about 40 miles east of San Antonio.
