Lorenzo Pellegrini will snub a possible transfer to Liverpool and stay at Roma.
The 21-year-old has been tipped for a transfer to Anfield in the summertime after a string of spectacular performances in Serie A.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is a fan of the midfielder and was anticipated to try to carry him in as a direct substitute for Emre Can.
Nonetheless, Pellegrini insists he’s completely happy on the Stadio Olimpico and is eyeing future success with the Italian giants.
“It’s important for young players to want to grow and improve but I’m really happy at the club where I grew up,” Roma’s No.7 advised Italian reporters.
“The objective of every player is to win trophies and like (Daniele) De Rossi and (Francesco) Totti have stated in the past, winning a Scudetto here would be the equivalent of winning ten elsewhere.”
